I think Infinitest is an excellent idea and works well. However I think the product is very simple and could use some more features. For example:

  • When tests fail I would like to see a view like the test runner built into the IDE, complete with clickable stack traces and string comparison etc. Even better if it could be integrated with the built in test runner.

  • Infinitest should be smarter about associating code with the right test case. Sometimes there is an error in a test case that has not been triggered by Infinitest. To avoid that, Infinitest could run all tests in the background when there is a change. The tests should be run in the order of the number of times a particular test has previously failed for the changed class. /Jacob
