Eclipse workbench on startup always reset

Reported by Dominik | February 23rd, 2010 @ 09:21 PM

Hi there,

since i installed infinitest and every time that i restart eclipse it shows up an error and tells me that the workbench has been reset.

This is very annoying as i then have to reconfigure my workbench every time again. Why would installing the inifitest plugin cause this behaviour and how can it be fixed?

Thanks

Dominik

If you uninstall Infinitest does the error persist?

    Thanks for the quick reply,

I just uninstalled infinitest and the error goes away, that means without infinitest intalled in eclipse on a restart my work bench appears just as i left it. So infinitest is definitely the cause of the problem. Am I the only one with the problem so far? Are there any other eclipse version where this is know to work?

    Thanks

    Dominik

It's been tested with Eclipse 3.5 under Mac OS. If you have the same problem
with that configuration, you could try it in a new workspace.

If you still have the problem with a new workspace and Eclipse 3.5, posting
the log file (in .metadata/.log) here will help us diagnose it.

I installed Eclipse 3.5.1 and used another workspace, then it finally worked.

I would recommend adding the information of having to use another workspace in order to be able to use infintest and that all your projects need to have no errors in it somewhere visible on your site. As explained in the other ticket I have been very happy with inifinitest.jar and didn't have to cope with all the problems that took me like 3-4 hours in order to be able to get started with continous testing in eclipse. So I would give the inifinest eclipse right now a 3 of 5 stars in comparision to 5 of 5 stars for the inifinitest.jar.

    Thanks again for your help.
